A young lady in despair comes to a beautiful lake. She meets a young man who is a "local." She asks him to take her to the most beautiful place and take pictures of her there.

１９４３年、ハーフの日系アメリカ人のケンとジョーは、強制収容所で日本人の父親を亡くした。ハーフであるが故に、外の世界にも収容所にもなじめない孤独な二人は、収容所を脱走し、白人の母が住む実家へと旅に出る。

Ken and Jo are adolescent Japanese-American, and has been imprisoned in the Manzanar War Relocation Camp three years since the start of the war. After the death of their father, they escape internment to find their Caucasian mother…
